"Pope John Paul II Family Academy - Brooklyn, New York"
As a united community, sisters from Staten Island, N.Y. and Middletown, CT. join the Brooklyn sisters and Mother Petry as the parents of the new Pope John Paul II Family Academy students sign their convenant.

Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio celebrated a special Mass at Saint Barbara's Church, where the parents of the students enrolled in the new Pope John Paul II Academy signed an important convenant. This convenant is an agreement in which the parents agree to be the primary educator of their children. This responsiblity begins with the commitment to uphold their Roman Catholic faith, bring their children to school on time, and help their children with their homework.
