The Daughters of Our Lady of the Garden arrived in Brooklyn, New York in the summer of 2009. The sister's mission is to educate poor immigrant children and their families.
Saint Barabara's School closed in 1975, during the summer of 2009, this school underwent extensive renovations and is now opened as Pope John Paul II Family Academy. Sister Antoniette works very closely with the principal facilitating all relgious formation of the children and their families. Sister Marykutty is the Pre-K teacher, Sister Daisy is the second grade teacher, and Sister Natalina is the computer teacher.
