Answering God's Call

Love is not love unless it is expressed, and joy is not joy if it is not shared. I thank God for my 25 years of religious profession. Truly I can say that God has always blessed, sustained and accompanied me throughout all my life experiences, those enriching as well as those challenging. I thank God for my parents who taught me the first lessons of love, who sowed the seed of faith, and strengthened my vocation by their love, sacrifices, support, and prayers.
                                                                                -- Sr. Mary Pattasseril

A most beautiful Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated at Saint Sebastian Church in Middletown, Connecticut during which Sister Mary Pattasseril recieved a Papal Blessing from Pope Benedict XVI. After the Mass she was able to spend time with many of her friends. Sister Mary is now in Italy. She is retracing the footsteps of the Congregation's Founder, Saint Anthony Gianelli, along with the other prostulant's she entered the order with. As they prayerfully spend time in the same holy places in which St. Anthony Gianelli spent his time, we know His spirit will renew their eagerness to serve the Lord.

We humbly thank God for the mystery of His call and the generosity of each sister's affirmative response, it is through them and their work that Jesus comes to those who need Him the most.
